  • The Story of this Tea

Only when grown and dried with care does chamomile reveal its true character. Named after the Greek Khamaimelon, meaning 'earth apple', for its enticing, apple-like aroma, we have selected our chamomile flowers from Slavonia, Croatia. Cultivated for centuries in fertile plains using traditional organic practices, these luminous blooms are then slowly dried to preserve their delicate fragrance and essential oils. The result is a wonderfully fragrant, clean, and calming infusion.

Please note, 50 tea bags come un-enveloped in a resealable bag. 100 tea bags comes as a box of 100 individually enveloped tea bags.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I store JING tea?

All tea should be kept away from heat, light, moisture and odours. Exposure to these will cause the tea to deteriorate and lose flavour.

We recommend storing our loose teas in our beautiful Refill Caddies or its resealable ziplock bag, and store them in a cool dry place. Generally speaking, black teas and more heavily oxidized oolongs can be stored for a longer time than green, white and lightly oxidized oolong teas. Green teas, white teas and light oolong teas are best drunk within two to three months of opening.

However, they can also be stored in the fridge to maintain freshness for as long as possible. If you choose to store your green, white and light oolongs in the fridge, be careful to take the packs out a little in advance of making your tea so that they can reach room temperature. Opening a bag straight from the fridge will result in condensation on the inside of the pack, which when closed can then affect the quality of the tea inside.

How do you source your teas?

We don’t just believe that single origin and single garden teas taste better. We go direct to source to get them. Cutting out the middlemen in this way encourages transparency by increasing traceability. It also helps us to build strong relationships with producers, so we can better support them and their communities. We back this up with stringent responsible procurement processes, applicable to all of our suppliers. You can find out more here.
